Wood-Look SPC Flooring Oak, Walnut & Ash Décors
Wood-look SPC flooring with embossed-in-register textures — the highest-volume décor category in rigid core vinyl, manufactured across 8 calender lines.
200+ wood décor films, EIR texture alignment, and 4mm–6mm rigid core configurations. Your brand, your décor selection, shipped factory-direct from Changzhou or Rayong.
The Décor Category That Moves the Most Volume
Wood SPC flooring is the core of most distributors' rigid core vinyl catalogs. It outsells stone-look, marble, and abstract patterns combined in nearly every residential and light commercial market we ship to. If you're building or expanding an SPC product line, wood-look décors are where the volume sits — and where your reorder frequency will be highest.
What separates one supplier's wood SPC from another isn't the fact that it looks like wood. Every factory can print an oak pattern on a décor film. The difference is in how convincingly the surface texture matches the printed grain, how consistent the color reads across a 2,000 sqm installation, and whether the core formulation holds up after two winters in an unheated lake house. Those are the details that determine whether your downstream buyers reorder or switch suppliers.
We've been producing wood-look SPC since 2012 — it was the first décor category we ran when we started exporting. Over 14 years, we've built a library of 200+ wood décor films and developed EIR texture plates for the most commercially active species: oak in light, natural, and white tones; walnut in dark and medium finishes; hickory; ash; and teak. The décor library keeps growing because our buyers keep entering new market segments that demand specific looks. Last year alone we added 30+ new wood décors, most of them custom-developed for OEM accounts targeting the European renovation market.

Embossed-in-Register: The Surface Detail That Protects Your Margin
EIR texture alignment is the single most commercially significant surface specification in wood SPC. Here's why it matters to your pricing power — and how we produce it.
Flat-Press vs. EIR: The Commercial Difference
Why Flat-Press Competes on Price Alone
On a standard flat-press SPC plank, the surface texture is generic — the same light stipple regardless of whether the print underneath shows oak grain or walnut knots. The visual and tactile disconnect is obvious the moment someone runs a hand across the plank. For your business, flat-press wood SPC competes on price alone because there's nothing to differentiate it at the point of sale.
How EIR Changes the Equation
Embossed-in-register changes that equation. We produce custom EIR texture plates that align the physical surface grain to the printed wood pattern underneath. Where the décor film shows a knot, the surface has a depression. Where the grain lines run, the texture follows. The plank looks and feels like actual wood grain under your hand — and that tactile realism is what lets you position wood SPC above flat-press competitors at a meaningful markup.
EIR Plate Production — In-House
The Margin Logic
EIR wood SPC typically commands a 15–20% higher retail price than flat-press equivalents in the same thickness and wear layer configuration. Your cost increase from the factory is smaller than that retail premium, so the margin improvement flows to your bottom line.
Distributors in North America and Europe use EIR as the dividing line between their "good" and "better" tier — same core, same wear layer, different surface treatment, different price point.
Testing EIR in Your Market?
If you're currently sourcing flat-press wood SPC and want to test EIR in your market, we can produce a small run at the 1,000 sqm MOQ so you can gauge sell-through before committing to volume.
Request an EIR test runWood Décor Range — From Light Oak to Dark Walnut
The wood species and tone you stock depend on your target market. Here's how the décor range breaks down and where each segment sells.
Oak SPC Flooring — Light, Natural, and White Tones
Oak is the dominant wood-look décor globally. It accounts for the largest share of our wood SPC production by a wide margin. Within oak, the tone matters.
Light Oak
Light Oak SPC Flooring
Clean, pale tones with minimal grain contrast. Sells strongest in Scandinavian-influenced markets and modern residential projects.
Key Markets
Best Seller
Natural Oak SPC Flooring
The all-purpose middle ground — warm honey tones with visible grain character. Works across residential and light commercial without polarizing buyer preferences.
Best Starting SKU
If you're stocking a single oak SKU to test a market, natural oak is the safe starting point.
White Oak
White Oak SPC Flooring
Cooler undertone with more grain definition than light oak. Trend has moved away from red-toned oaks that dominated a decade ago.
Key Markets
Multiple Décor Films Per Oak Tone
We carry multiple décor film options within each oak tone, so you can differentiate your catalog from competitors sourcing the same generic "oak" pattern from other factories. Our R&D team can also color-match a specific oak reference sample you send us — if your market responds to a particular tone, we'll develop the décor film to hit it.
Dark Walnut and Dark Wood SPC Flooring
Dark Walnut SPC
Premium residential and boutique hospitality. Rich, deep brown tones with pronounced grain contrast. Lower volume than oak but higher margin per square meter.
Dark Wood & Dark Brown SPC
Walnut, acacia, smoked oak, aged hickory reproductions. Sells well in Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian markets, and in Western accent rooms and commercial feature areas.
A Note on Dark Décor QC
Color consistency across production runs is harder to maintain on dark tones than on light ones. Small shifts in film tension or lamination temperature show up more visibly on a dark walnut than on a light oak.
We run tighter color-matching QC on dark décors — pulling comparison samples against the approved reference every 500 sqm of production — because a color shift between your first and second container is the kind of problem that erodes buyer confidence fast.
Dark Décor Market Fit
Hickory, Ash, and Specialty Wood Décors
Beyond oak and walnut, we produce hickory, ash, teak, and acacia reproductions. These are lower-volume décors but they serve specific market niches — hickory for the U.S. rustic/farmhouse segment, ash for contemporary European interiors, teak for Southeast Asian hospitality projects. If your catalog needs a specialty wood species, check our décor library or send us a reference sample for custom development.

Market Segments for Wood-Look SPC —
Where Your Buyers Sell It
Wood SPC flooring covers more market segments than any other décor category in rigid core vinyl. Here's where the commercial opportunity sits for your distribution or contracting business.
Residential Renovation and New Build
Homeowners and renovation contractors choose wood-look SPC over hardwood and laminate because it handles moisture, installs over existing subfloors with minimal prep, and costs less per installed square meter. For your business, residential wood SPC is the catalog foundation — high volume, predictable reorder cycles, and broad geographic demand.
Contractor buyers reorder the same SKUs across multiple projects if color consistency holds — making this segment a reliable repeat-order engine.
Multi-Family and Rental Property Development
Property developers and management companies buy wood SPC for tenant-turnover durability. The waterproof core survives unreported spills. Click-lock installation means faster unit turns between tenants — a flooring crew can refloor a 70 sqm apartment in a day.
This segment buys on price per square meter. Neutral oak tones are the sweet spot. Developers who standardize on a SKU reorder for every new project.
Commercial Office and Retail Fit-Out
Office renovations and retail spaces specify wood-look SPC for the visual warmth of wood without the maintenance liability. Natural oak and white oak décors are the most specified tones in commercial interiors — they photograph well for real estate listings and don't show scuff marks as readily as dark finishes.
The specifying architect or interior designer often becomes a repeat source of orders if the product performs.
Hospitality — Hotels, Restaurants, Serviced Apartments
Hospitality buyers need flooring that looks premium, survives daily cleaning, and can be replaced in sections without pulling up an entire floor. Wood SPC with EIR textures gives them the visual of engineered hardwood at a fraction of the installed cost and with zero moisture risk.
Hotel chain brand standardization means a single product approval can generate repeat orders across multiple properties.
E-Commerce and Direct-to-Consumer Channels
If you sell through Amazon, Wayfair, or your own online store, wood-look SPC is the top-performing décor category in e-commerce flooring. We can configure retail-ready packaging with UPC barcodes, FBA-compliant carton dimensions, and individual carton weights optimized for parcel shipping.
Our packaging uses reinforced corner protection and double-wall cartons for mail-order durability — fewer damage claims on delivery means your seller rating stays intact and your return rate stays low.
OEM/ODM for Wood SPC —
Custom Décors Under Your Brand
Wood-look SPC is where most of our OEM/ODM projects start, because the décor selection is the primary differentiator between competing brands in this category. Here's what we can customize for you.
Décor Film
Choose from our 200+ existing wood décor films, or we develop a custom film to match your reference sample. Custom décor development takes 2–3 weeks for film production and EIR plate tooling.
Exclusivity guaranteed: Once approved, your custom décor becomes part of your exclusive library. We won't offer the same custom décor to other buyers unless you authorize it.
Surface Texture
EIR, deep emboss, hand-scraped, or crystal finish. For wood décors, EIR is the strongest commercial choice because the texture-to-print alignment is what sells the realism at retail.
Multiple texture depths available on the same décor — lighter for contemporary markets, deeper grain for rustic positioning.
Core and Wear Layer
Any combination within our 4mm–6mm core range and 0.3mm–0.7mm wear layer range. We'll recommend the configuration based on your target market segment and price positioning.
Plank Dimensions
Standard 1220mm × 183mm or wide plank 1524mm × 228mm. Wide plank commands a higher retail price and is trending upward in European and North American markets.
Custom lengths available for orders above 3,000 sqm.
Packaging
Private-label cartons with your branding, barcodes, installation instructions, and care guides in any language. We handle the packaging design and printing in-house.
- Your brand, logo, and color scheme
- Barcodes and SKU labeling
- Multi-language installation guides
- In-house design and print production
Minimum Order Quantity
Low enough to test a new wood décor in your market without overcommitting inventory. Same minimum applies once the décor film and texture are confirmed for custom OEM projects.

Questions we get from importers, distributors, and retailers before placing their first order. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.
What's the difference between wood SPC and standard SPC flooring?
The core construction is identical — rigid SPC with a click-lock system. The difference is entirely in the décor layer and surface texture. Wood SPC uses high-resolution wood-grain décor films paired with EIR or deep-emboss textures that align with the print pattern. The result is a product that reads as wood at retail and in installed photos, which is what drives the category's growth. Standard SPC may use simpler textures or non-wood décors like stone or abstract patterns.
How realistic does wood SPC actually look compared to real hardwood?
With EIR texture and a high-resolution décor film, the visual difference at normal viewing distance is minimal for most consumers. The texture-to-print alignment is the key factor — when the emboss follows the grain lines in the print, the tactile and visual cues reinforce each other. Where wood SPC falls short is in the sound underfoot (hollow vs. solid) and the variation between planks, which is more limited than real wood. For most residential and light commercial applications, buyers report that end consumers cannot distinguish it from engineered wood once installed.
We recommend requesting physical samples rather than relying on photos — the texture reads very differently in hand than on screen.
What wear layer thickness should I specify for my market?
It depends on your channel and price positioning:
Entry-level residential. Suitable for low-traffic rooms. Competitive price point but limited warranty positioning.
Mid-range residential. The most common specification for retail. Supports 15–25 year residential warranty claims.
Premium residential and light commercial. Supports commercial warranty claims and higher retail price positioning. Recommended for hospitality and rental property applications.
Can wood SPC be installed over radiant floor heating?
Yes. SPC's rigid core has significantly lower thermal expansion than LVP, making it more stable over underfloor heating systems. The maximum surface temperature limit is 27°C (80°F) — standard for most hydronic and electric radiant systems. We recommend specifying this in your product documentation and installation guides, as exceeding the limit can cause joint stress over time.
For markets where underfloor heating is common (Germany, Scandinavia, Korea), this is a meaningful selling point worth highlighting in your product positioning.
What's the lead time for a first order with a custom OEM décor?
For a custom OEM décor from scratch, the total timeline from reference submission to goods ready for shipment is typically 5–7 weeks:
Week 1–3: Décor film development and EIR plate tooling
Week 3–4: Sample production and shipment for your approval
Week 4–7: Production run (15–20 days) after sample sign-off
If you select from our existing décor library, the tooling step is skipped and lead time drops to 15–20 days from order confirmation.
Do you provide test reports and certificates with each shipment?
Yes. Standard documentation with each shipment includes the factory QC report, relevant certification copies (FloorScore, CE, CARB as applicable to your market), and a packing list. Third-party lab test reports from SGS or Intertek are available on request — we maintain current reports for all active SKUs and can provide them during the sampling stage so you have them before committing to an order.
For OEM orders, we can also arrange pre-shipment inspection by a third-party inspector of your choice.
What's the minimum order for a stock décor vs. a custom OEM décor?
Per SKU. No tooling cost. Fastest lead time. Good for market testing before committing to a custom décor.
Per SKU. Includes décor film and EIR plate tooling. Décor becomes exclusive to your brand after approval.

How We Maintain Color Consistency Across Production Runs
This is the manufacturing detail that matters most for wood SPC flooring — and the one most buyers don't think to ask about until they've been burned by it.
Wood décor films are printed in batches. Each print run has slight variation in color density, ink saturation, and base film opacity. On a light oak décor, these variations are subtle and forgiving. On a dark walnut or a high-contrast hickory, a 5% shift in ink density is visible to the naked eye when two cartons from different production runs are installed side by side. Your buyer calls it a "color mismatch." Your end customer calls it a defect.
Why This Matters in Practice
In 2018, a European distributor received two containers of natural oak that were visibly different under showroom lighting. Both containers passed QC individually — but side by side the difference was obvious. That incident cost a credit note and taught us that "within spec" and "visually consistent" aren't always the same thing.
We also manage film inventory to ensure that a single order ships from the same film batch whenever possible. For large orders that span multiple film batches, we sequence the batches so the transition happens between cartons rather than within a carton — and we mark the batch transition on the pallet so your warehouse team can allocate same-batch cartons to the same job site.
Three-Point Color Control Process
Batch Qualification
We qualify décor film batches against a master reference sample before they enter production. Any film batch that drifts outside our Delta E tolerance of ≤1.5 gets rejected or reclassified to a different order where the shift is acceptable.
In-Run Sampling
We pull comparison samples every 500 sqm during production and check them against the approved reference under standardized D65 lighting — the same lighting standard used in professional color evaluation environments.
Pallet Archiving
We photograph every pallet before shrink-wrapping and archive the images so we can trace any color question back to the specific production run. Batch transitions are marked on the pallet for warehouse-level allocation control.
Packaging and Container Loading for Wood SPC
Wood SPC flooring in standard plank dimensions (1220mm × 183mm) packs approximately 2.2 sqm per carton at 5mm thickness. Here's how that translates to container volumes.
Container Loading Estimates
| Container Type | 5mm Core | 6mm Core |
|---|---|---|
| 20GP | 1,200–1,400 sqm | 1,000–1,200 sqm |
| 40HQ | 2,400–2,800 sqm | 2,000–2,400 sqm |
Wide plank formats (1524mm × 228mm) load at slightly lower density due to carton geometry — expect roughly 10–15% fewer square meters per container compared to standard plank.
Routing by Destination

Rayong factory via Laem Chabang port
Packaging Specifications
Double-wall corrugated with reinforced edges to survive port handling and warehouse stacking. Corner protectors and stretch wrap as standard on every pallet.
For shipments to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and parts of Oceania, we add moisture barrier wrapping around each pallet as standard — no upcharge required.
Individual carton weights configurable under 23 kg to stay within parcel carrier limits. Carton dimensions optimized for standard pallet footprints. Each carton gets its own UPC label and product identifier per your specifications.
We quote FOB, CIF, or DDP depending on your preference. Your order routes through whichever factory gives you the best freight equation.

Sourcing decisions, specification questions, and OEM logistics — answered with the detail your procurement team needs.
What oak tone sells best in North American vs. European markets?
In North America, natural oak and white oak are the top sellers — warm but not yellow, with enough grain character to look like real hardwood. The U.S. market moved away from red-toned oaks around 2018 and hasn't looked back.
In Northern Europe, light oak dominates — pale, minimal grain contrast, Scandinavian aesthetic. Southern European markets lean warmer, closer to natural oak.
Recommended stocking strategy:
Stock natural oak as your universal SKU. Add light oak for European accounts and white oak for North American accounts.
EIR vs. flat-press wood SPC — is the cost difference worth it for my margin?
EIR wood SPC typically costs 8–12% more from the factory than flat-press in the same core and wear layer configuration. At retail, EIR commands a 15–20% price premium because the tactile realism is immediately obvious when a buyer handles the sample.
The margin math works in your favor.
We can produce both versions of the same décor so you can offer a "good" (flat-press) and "better" (EIR) tier without sourcing from two factories.
How do I prevent color variation complaints between cartons on the same job site?
Color variation on wood SPC comes from two sources: décor film batch differences and lamination temperature variation. We control both — film batches are qualified against a master reference (Delta E ≤1.5), and we sequence production so single orders ship from the same film batch whenever possible.
Installer guidance to include in your documentation:
Instruct buyers to open cartons from multiple boxes and mix planks during installation rather than installing one carton at a time. This is standard practice for any printed flooring product.
What wear layer thickness should I specify for wood SPC in residential vs. commercial projects?
12 mil
Rental property & budget residential
Adequate for 5–7 year performance at the lowest cost per sqm.
20 mil
Standard residential & light commercial (volume sweet spot)
Covers most applications. Supports 15-year residential warranties.
28 mil
Heavy commercial
Offices with rolling chairs, retail with high foot traffic, hospitality with daily cleaning cycles.
The wear layer is the single biggest factor in your warranty positioning — match it to the warranty term your market expects.
Can I get an exclusive wood décor that competitors can't source from Elefloor?
Yes. Custom OEM décor films developed for your account are exclusive to you — we won't offer the same décor to other buyers unless you authorize it.
One-time tooling cost amortizes across your order volume. Most established OEM accounts run 5–15 exclusive wood décors that form the core of their branded catalog.
What is the lead time from order confirmation to container loading for wood SPC?
Standard décors (stock film)
15–20 days from order confirmation to container-ready, depending on production line scheduling and order volume.
Custom OEM décors (new film + EIR plate)
Add 2–3 weeks for tooling before the production clock starts.
We provide a production schedule at order confirmation so you can coordinate with your freight forwarder and warehouse receiving.
